Bullish Celtic's manager does not fear being fired but the Parkhead faithful unleash fury following derby defeat.
The Celtic boss stated he was not afraid of dismissal, claiming, “We are very near to a turnaround,” despite edging perilously close to the exit with a comprehensive defeat by the Ibrox side.
Another Capitulation Sees Old Firm Loss
The Hoops had led the visitors at half-time but a second-half capitulation let Danny Röhl’s team to pull level on points with the defending league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was brought in in December, has now been in charge for six losses in his last eight matches.

“It’s the results [that leads to pressure]. So this is the situation for the moment. But by saying this is the reality, that is not a sign that I am giving up. Absolutely not. The message is we are really close, extremely close to change the narrative.”

Nancy highlights the fact his team play well for a half at a time. Indeed, were it not for missed chances they might have been greater than 1-0 up. “I saw enough except the fact that we haven’t scored a second goal,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but I must remain balanced.
“The performance we had at stages was of top quality. That is a fact. I wouldn't say that if it was different. But that’s why, regarding outcomes, I mentioned we've seen this before. That’s why I feel we are really close to a shift in fortunes. Currently: the fine margins.”
“We produced many, many good things that we did, as was the case today. The issue now is performing for 90 minutes. My narrative would change the same. Therefore I am convinced we’re going to be able to get back on track.”
The Rangers Boss Stance
Rangers manager was cautious about a championship push even after what felt like a huge result. “We take it game by game, so we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The faith in the squad is outstanding.”
